Description
A set of five lovely Broadhurst Pottery cups and saucers from circa 1963. These are in the Majorca pattern designed by Kathie Winkle but are a little too early to carry her signature on their back stamp (this didn’t generally happen until 1964).
Designed with a black rubber stamp and then hand painted in yellow and a dull pink these are simple and elegant, they are also a very rare design and really hard to find!
Size:
Cup height – 7cm
Saucer diameter – 14cm
Weight (all items combined):
1380g
Condition: These are excellent, there is the very lightest signs of use but no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a couple of small manufacturing faults where there are imperfections under the glaze (one is shown in the last photo) but these are not obvious and won’t spoil these either for daily use or for display.
The matchbox is for scale and is not included in the sale.
