Here is a pretty flower patterned vase manufactured by the Howard Pottery Company but marked with their Brentleigh Ware imprint. This vase is in the Kensington shape. It is in a lovely soft apple green with moulded roses on the front in peaches and yellow with darker green leaves. The body is ribbed for the main. We are not completely certain of the age but believe it’s most likely to be from the 1920’s or 30’s.
This is marked on the base Brentleigh Ware, S, Kensington, Made In England. There is a hand painted dark red K and a price 12/11(?) marked in pen.
Height – 20cm
Diameter of base – 10.2cm
Condition: There is quite a bit of rubbing to the green finish and the rose. Most of the rubbing/wear is on the rim though there are some marks and it’s a bit grubby on the inside. There are no cracks or chips. See photos.
