Recently going through my Mother’s sewing crates I found many J Dewhurst & Sons Ld cotton reels, also other vintage Silko wooden reels, I remember her using these on a singer treadle sewing machine which had a broken bobbin, so she repaired it with wire and sometimes with elastic bands…..should these cottons go to a museum ?…kind regards Colleen NSW Aust
