Here is a great looking early 70’s made in Japan Panasonic radio. This is model number R-1492 in a red plastic finish with a brushed aluminum detail on one side and a 2 way (top and front) tuning display. This takes one 9V battery and has been tested and is working fine. There is also a AC power supply socket.

This is an AM radio only so no external aerial – it looks really cool and is obviously really well made as these early Japanese models typically were.

Condition: This has some light cosmetic marks and scuffs consistent with its age but nothing bad. There are a few light paint marks on the body but these are faint and should clean off fairly easily. There is a small dink to the bottom right on the aluminum edge but again this is minor and doesn’t look bad. Please see photos.

As mentioned above this takes 1 x 9V battery (not supplied). There is no power cable either.
