Paico Guitar Clock

Description

This clock is sold but please take a look around RetroSpectro for many more great vintage items.

A 50’s or early 60’s clock with wind up mechanism in the shape of a guitar. Made in Great Britain by Paico this is both kitsch and a reminder of those early rock & roll years in the UK, apparently Joe Meek was given one in 1963.

This is made of gold coloured wire which was shaped and then welded, it is hung by a piece of cord. The clock face cover is glass and the rear of the clock itself is plastic.

Size:
Length – 49cm
Width – 18cm
Height – 6cm
Diameter (clock face) – 12.6cm

Condition: The clock works perfectly and keeps good time. The metal has some tarnishing but is still shiny. The cord is a little grubby and is frayed/damaged it still holds the clock fine but might be worth replacing.
